Submitted inspections are locked after submit. You review the sections and any photos that were attached that day.

What the locked PDF contains
After submit, the inspection is locked with a timestamp so it is harder to backdate than a spreadsheet cell. The PDF typically includes:
- Sections— lights, tyres, brakes and the rest of the guided walkaround, marked Correct or Faulty.
- Mileage— recorded with that day’s check.
- Declaration— the signed submit declaration for that inspection.
- Timestamp— when the check was locked on submit.

Retention as best practice
Keeping dated daily check records helps with audits, insurance queries and licensing spot checks. We do not invent a fixed legal retention period — follow your operator policy, insurer and licensing authority. Digital history makes it easier to produce one date when someone asks, instead of hunting through paper.
