- Account details: name, email address, password (stored hashed)
- Vehicle and licensing information you enter (e.g. registration, council, licence numbers)
- Daily inspection records: dates, checklist answers, mileage, notes
- Photos you upload as inspection evidence
- Subscription and billing metadata processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
- Technical logs: IP address, browser type, and security events (e.g. failed logins)
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Provide and secure the Service
- Generate inspection history and PDF exports
- Process subscriptions and send account emails (e.g. password reset)
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR include contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security and product improvement), and consent where required (e.g. marketing emails, if offered).
4. Sharing and processors
We use trusted processors to run the Service, including hosting providers, email delivery, and Stripe for payments. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
5. Retention
We retain account and inspection data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward so you can export records or reactivate. You may request deletion subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, secure password hashing, and access controls. No online service is completely secure; please use a strong unique password.
